The Counter

Know What Crossed the Counter Today.

Trade has always happened over a half door: the top open, the bottom shut, a counter across it. Agoo POS is built the same way. What your customer may see stands above the ledge. What you run the shop with hangs below it.

We're building it now. Join the list and we'll write when your kind of business can start.

A Screen Is Not ProofA sale paid to your MoMo till stays Claimed until the money itself is matched.
By the Olonka, on CreditSell by the measure, bargain to a floor, and write it in the book.

Tap, Scan or Type. Then Take Payment.

01

This is the register, working. Tap goods, or type a number first for a quantity. The total stands on the ledge with Take Payment hanging right under it. Press it and the ledge rises, because now the job is on your side of the counter.

Every shop, name and amount on this page is a sample.

What the Customer Sees

Everything above the ledge and nothing below it. It follows the till as you sell, so the floor price and the drawer simply aren't there.

Money You Can Trust.

02

A customer pays your till number and shows you a screen. A screen can be forged, so the sale stays Claimed until the money itself turns up. Above the limit you set, the goods stay on your side of the counter. Try it.

Your limit, your judgement. Here, goods up to GH₵ 200.00 may leave on a claim if the cashier is happy.

Every Claim Looks for Its Money

By amount, by reference and by time: from the provider where there's a route, and from an imported statement where there isn't, with a named person confirming. One payment can only match one sale. No commission on any direct sale, on any plan; the money goes straight to your own till number or account.

Selling Your Way.

03

Sell by the olonka, the half-bag or the bag, and the stock still counts in kilograms. Agree a price in two taps. The customer sees the agreed price above the ledge; the floor and what you gave away stay below it.

Each shop sets its own conversions, and an olonka is whatever that shop says it is.

Give What You Choose to Give

Set a floor per item or per category. Going below it needs a manager or a reason on record. At the end of the week the report shows list price, agreed price and margin given away, cashier by cashier.

The till shows what it's running on and how old its data is, and warns before the battery dies. When it restarts, the same basket is back. When the line returns, each sale goes up once, in order.

Starting Again…
Cut the Power

This is the test each device has to pass: the plug pulled mid-sale on a terminal, a Windows till and a phone. No acknowledged sale lost, and none counted twice.

  • Low-data mode sends sales first, pictures last.
  • A receipt with no printer waits in a queue and prints in order.
  • Prices may be old, and the till says how old.

Stock That Adds Up.

05

The number on the shelf is the sum of everything that ever happened to it. Each sale, delivery, spill and count is a line with a name on it, so a gap has an explanation, and two tills can't both sell the last tin.

The Movement Ledger

Ask Where It Went, and Get an Answer

Ordered stock isn't sold until someone receives it. Stock on a van isn't in either branch until it's counted in. A count is blind, so the person counting can't just write down what the screen says.

  • Suppliers, purchase orders and part deliveries
  • Bills checked against what actually arrived
  • Transfers between branches and warehouses
  • Lots, serials, expiry dates and recalls

Agoo POS needs an Agoo ID and nothing else: no Agoo plan, and no other product to join. Reviews, SupaKera, Travel, Events and the rest are switches you turn on. They all start off, each says plainly what it shares, and turning one off leaves your records where they are.
